About Fade

Jean and Fionnuala buy only what they love and this seems
to work to produce an intriguing mix of distinctive vintage furniture and unusual accessories

Our business has grown out of our own personal passion for interior decoration. We have been friends for 16 years and are both nurses by profession, yet between work and family life we managed to find time to pursue our interest.

We started by renovating our own homes, restoring and painting furniture by hand and keeping an eye out for unusual antiques and decorative pieces . Friends began to ask us to source and paint similar pieces for them, so in September 2005 we made the huge leap, found a beautiful listed building in Woodstock and Fade was born!

We source unusual vintage furniture and antiques from home and abroad which we restore if necessary and handpaint using chalky paint in soft muted
colours. We believe that furnishing your home should go hand in hand with helping the environment .

Our aim is to stock artisan made , rather than mass produced homewares
At Fade our stock changes quite quickly and so it is always worth visiting
us regularly for a browse .If you are looking for a specific piece we can
always try to source it for you.
